Despite its tiny size, Malta is rich in geological features and endemic species. Besides, its rural scapes dotted with vernacular structures and wayside chapels still offer authenticity, much sought-after nowadays. If you want to see “the other Malta” and search for its roots and soul, join our Rural and Nature Walks.
Currently we are offering “The Five Villages Behind the Tunnel Tour” (8 hrs) and “On Rural Scapes and Bees Tour” (4 hrs). Both start from Zurrieq bus terminus and take you around this charming part of Malta full of people’s architecture, archaeology, agricultural practises and bee-keeping as well as Malta’s natural heritage. During the tour you will learn about the main features of the rural architecture in Malta, geological monuments, indigenous trees and plants and also discover many interesting facts about local honey and bees.
Meeting point: Zurrieq bus terminus.
The village of Zurrieq can be reached by public transport or taxi.

Type of tour: Walking tour. Comfortable walking shoes, clothes suitable for long walking, sunblock, hats, drinking water and packed lunch and snacks are a must.
